1999, PhD in Physical and Inorganic Chemistry, Summa Cum Laude. First steps in Solid State Chemistry, in 2001-02.

► 2002-04, 2-year Marie Curie fellowship, St. Andrews Centre for Advanced Materials (Scotland, UK), supervisor: Prof. John T.S. Irvine.

► 2005, awarded with a Marie Curie Reintegration grant, for a research project mainly focused in new anode materials, microstructural control and symmetrical fuel cells.

► 2005, Awarded with the spanish research fellowship "Ramon y Cajal" (RyC)

► 2006, Awarded with the Christian Friedich Schoenbein Medal in the 7th European Fuel Cell Forum (Lucerne, Switzerland) for the presentation "Microstructural Optimisation of Materials for SOFC Applications Using PMMA Microspheres"

► 2005-08. Supervisor of a PhD student: J. Peña-Martínez, Summa Cum Laude. Best PhD thesis in the School of Chemistry and in the University of La Laguna in 2007. One of his works, about SOFC cathodes, was awarded with the best presentation prize in the 8th European Fuel Cell Forum 2008, Lucerne-Switzerland. In 2013-14, another two PhD student under supervision. 6 Master Degree students and 4 International Degree supervisions.

► 2009, as PI, creation of the inter-university group: Nano- and Microengineering of Materials (NMAM group), with three members from the Renewable Energy Research Institute of Albacete, Univ. of Malaga and the Centre for Advanced Materials (University St Andrews, UK). Another two Senior Researchers are working as collaborators from the Dpt. Chemical Engineering with a sound background in Photocatalysts and Biodiesel.

► 2009, awarded accreditation "I3", as a Senior researcher. 150.000Є granted.

► 2013, appointed as Subject Editor of Chemical Engineering Research and Design, Elsevier (Subject Area: Materials Processing and Product Development).

► 12/2013, Full Professor Accreditation by ANECA (National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of Spain)
